Privacy policy

The short version

Your answers, your name, your saved places, your progress, your trusted friend's details, your check-in timer and your chats with Aurelia stay in your own browser on your own device. We don't receive them and we don't sell anything. There are no ads, no tracking and no tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

What stays on your device

• Your five answers, Portal Plan, first name, saved places and events, lessons, points and badges.
• Your trusted friend's name and phone number, and your check-in timer.
• Your conversation with Aurelia. Aurelia runs inside the app and does not send your messages anywhere.
• You can delete all of it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

What reaches our server

• Normal technical data that every website receives when your browser asks for a page, such as your IP address, the time and the page requested. It is used only to run and protect the service and is kept for a short time.
• A live connection that tells the app when a new event is added. It carries no personal data from you.

Location

Your location is only read when you tap Send my location, and only to create a map link that you send yourself, through your phone's own share or message app. We never store or track your location, and the app never shows or searches for the location of any person.

Other services the app loads

• Map tiles from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation), which receive your IP address when the map loads.
• Sample photos from picsum.photos, which receive your IP address when a photo loads.
• Fonts and icons are served from our own server.

Legal basis and your rights

We process the small amount of technical data above on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure service (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). You have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection, and the right to complain to the Slovenian data protection authority: Informacijski pooblaščenec, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, www.ip-rs.si. Write to us at the address above for anything about your data.

Femme Portals is meant for adults aged 18 and over.

Terms of use

• Femme Portals is a lifestyle and inspiration app for adults aged 18 and over. By using it you accept these terms.
• Everything is provided as is, without any warranty. Information about places, events, prices, dates, dress codes and safety is general guidance and may be wrong or out of date. Always check with the venue or organiser.
• Aurelia's answers are general tips, not professional, medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
• You are responsible for your own decisions, your safety, and how you use the app, and for anything you enter into it.
• We are not responsible for venues, events, organisers, other people you meet, or third-party websites and services linked from the app.
• To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damage, loss of data, errors, interruptions or outages. For the free service our liability is limited to zero; for any paid service it is limited to the amount you paid in the last twelve months.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence, harm to life or health caused by our fault, or your mandatory consumer rights.
• Portal Elite is currently a demo. No payment is taken. If paid plans start, their price, cancellation and refund terms will be shown clearly before you pay.
• You agree to compensate us for claims caused by your misuse of the app or your breach of these terms.
• We may change, pause or stop the app or these terms at any time. Slovenian law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection in your country.

Safety

Femme Portals is not an emergency service. In danger, always call your local emergency number directly. The check-in timer and alerts work only while the app is open on your phone, and messages to your friend are sent by you, from your own phone. We cannot guarantee that any alert is delivered or seen, or that any venue or event is safe.
